Lynne
Siegel
has worked actively in the nonprofit community for more than thirty years. In 2001, she started her own consulting practice,
sharing her grantmaking and foundation administration experience with more than a dozen
private and corporate grantmakers. During the
previous seven years, she set up and managed the grantmaking programs of two newly
established Oregon foundations. As vice
president and grants program manager of Northwest Health Foundation, Lynne was
instrumental in establishing and managing the multiple grants programs during the
Foundations first few years. Lynne also
worked with the Board of the Oregon Education Association to establish its childrens
charitable foundation, which she managed from its inception.
Lynne currently serves on the Board of
California Casualty Group, where she has served as chair of the
Governance Committee and the Corporate Contributions Committee. Lynne held the position of newsletter editor and
served on the Board of Directors of Grantmakers of Oregon and Southwest Washington from
1999 through 2002. She has served other nonprofits as board member, volunteer fundraiser,
and staff.
Lynne has a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, and
undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from the University of Illinois. She is an
active member of both the Oregon State Bar and the Illinois State Bar.
Lynne is a lifelong
musician and currently sings with the Bach Cantata Choir of Portland
and with the Reed College Chorus. |
